Theme: “Build Bridges and Build Lives – Be a Change agent”

The Diocesan Young Student Movement convention was held on 17th January, 2105 at St. Mary’s High School Kotnoor in Gulbarga Diocese. 397 students from 12 schools all over the diocese took part in the convention. The convention was hosted by St. Mary’s High School, Kotnoor, Gulbarga.

The convention began with the inauguration by lighting of the lamp. Vicar Geral of Gulbarga Rev. Fr. Stany Lobo, The Regional ICYM, YCS/YSM Director Rev. Fr. Mari Joseph, Shivmogga ICYM, YCS/YSM Director Rev. Fr. Ronald Veigas, Mr. Sheshadri Kulakarni the president of Rotary Club Gulbarga, Miss. Jovita Regional ICYM vice President, Fr. Victor Vas Diocesan YSM Director, Immanuel YSM diocesan President, Sony YSM Diocesan secretary were present for the inaugural programme.

After the inaugural programme Rev. Fr. Mari Joseph took a session on “we are a family – my response to the other” and Rev. Fr. Ronal Veigas spoke on the theme “Build Bridges and Build Lives – Be a change agent”

In the afternoon there was cultural competition from all the schools. It was a mind blowing programme which was presented with themes. After the programme there was concluding ceremony. Most. Rev. Robert M. Mirand Bishop of Gulbarga, Mir. Praveen Priya the Jilla Panchayath President, Rev. Fr. Ronald Veigas the ICYM, YCS/YSM Director of Shivmogga, Miss. Jovita Regional ICYM vice President, Fr. Victor Vas diocesan YSM Director, Immanuel YSM diocesan President, Sony YSM Diocesan secretary were present for the programme. At the end all the children took an oath to change the society by changing oneself. With national anthem the YSM convention came to an end.
