ICYM Bejai Unit celebrates National Youth Sunday

5th August, 2018 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Bejai Unit celebrated National Youth Sunday on Sunday 5th August 2018 during 4:30 pm mass at St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai. The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India ( C.C.B.I ) observed and celebrated National Youth Sunday with the theme Youth, Faith and Vocational Discernment on Sunday 5th August 2018 across India. To mark this auspicious occasion, ICYM members of Bejai Unit celebrated National Youth Sunday by invoking god’s blessings through an Eucharistic celebration. Rev Fr Rohan Lobo Assistant Parish Priest presided over the Eucharistic celebration and preached a meaningful homily for the youth and to the faithful who gathered for the mass. ICYM, YCS members and other youth led the liturgy by giving an introduction during the mass about the importance of the day. ICYM and YCS members read out the readings, prayers of faithful, thanksgiving prayer and offered offertory to the church as a token of love. Members of Associations wore white dress which stands for purity. After the Holy Eucharistic celebration youth came together for a short celebration. Rev Fr Rohan Lobo addressed the youth with a wonderful message and made them feel the importance of the day. Few games were conducted by Lionel Pinto ICYM Unit President with a message "the youth to be the agents of change to build a better tomorrow". Refreshments were served to all the youth gathered for the mass. In this way National Youth Sunday was celebrated meaningfully in Bejai Unit.
