UDUPI: In regard to year of Faith, Yuva Catholic Vidyatharthi Sanchalan (YCS/YSM), Diocese of Udupi celebrated "Bhavadthosav" Faith Feast at Milagres Cathedral campus here on Monday, 12th November, 2012. YCS members of Udupi Diocese which consist of Kallianpur Deanery, Karkal Deanery, Kundapur Deanery and Shirva Deanery were participated in large numbers.

The programme was inaugurated with the solemn high, at Milagres Cathedral which was led by Very Rev Fr. Staby B. Lobo, and preached by Fr. Charles Menezes, Director of National YCS/YSM, Chennai. After the mass there were various competitions like devotional singing in groups, Devotional Quiz, Devotional skit and devotional group dances were held at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall as well as at Milagres English School campus under the leadership of YCS - Udupi Diocese Director Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Valedictory function was held under the presidentship of Rev Dr. Baptist Menezes former Episcopal Vicar of Udupi District. Chief guests present were V. Rev Fr. Anil D’souza, Dean of Kundapur Deanery, V. Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Dean of Kallianpur Deanery, Rev Fr. Maxim D’Souza YCS director of Shirva Deanery, Rev Fr. Ronald Fernandes YCS Director of Udupi Deanery, Rev Fr. Charles Menezes National YSC Director, Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Chief Organisor and Diocese YCS Director, Jaison Tellis of Ajekar President of YCS Udupi Diocese and Secretary Rikitha Almeida of Thottam.

Prizes were distributed during the occasion. Rev Fr. Anil d’Souza and Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo spoke during the occasion. After the inauguration of the Udupi Diocese this was the first grand occasion held at Diocese level as well as in the Diocese Cathedral Campus which participated by around 900 YCS members of Diocese. Due to out station of Udupi Diocese Bishop, Rev Dr. Baptist Menezes presided the occasion and blessed the youths of the Diocese

Jaison Tellis, president-YCS, Udupi Diocese, welcomed the gatherings and Likitha Almeida, Secretary -YCS, Udupi diocese, proposed vote of thanks. During the occasion , Leslie Aroza, Animator, YCS – Udupi Diocese, and his wife were honored for decennial of their marriage, by Rev Dr. Baptist Menezes and guests priests. The grand successful Diocese - Faith Feast of youths was compered by great Leslie Aroza beautifully. Around thousand particpants of 36 parish YCS units were enjoyed with beautiful talents and joy. Every participant was given a rosary as a memento.
