Cordel Cup 2017 organised by ICYM Cordel

16th August, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Cordel unit had organised Cordel Cup 2017 on 13 August 2017 at Cordel church football ground. The function was presided over by Fr Victor Machado, the parish priest of the Holy Cross Church. Fr. Santhosh Dsouza the director of ICYM Unit Cordel, Asst director of Icym Cordel unit, Mr Loy Noronha, the Vice President of Pastoral Council of the parish, Mr. Sathurine Monteiro, the secretary, Ms.Vinitha Rego, the ICYM president, Mr Ajay Pinto, the sports secretary were present for the inaugural function.

The Cordel Cup 2017 cricket tournament was inaugurated by Fr Victor Machado symbolically by playing the first ball and accompanied by other dignitaries. It was a privileged movement to have a friendly match between the ICYM girls and other sportive women of the parish. The commentators of day’s match were Mr Rynel Sequiera and Mr Valentine Crasta.
