Elected President of YCS, Diocese of Udupi

6th July, 2014: Clive Johns Quadros of Moodubelle Parish elected President of Yuva Catholic Students Sanchalen (YCS) of the Udupi Diocese central committee for the year 2014/15 while Jeenal Saldanha of Pamboor Church elected Secretary here on Sunday, 6th July, 2014 at Bishop’s House Hall.

Prior to the elections of the YCS various office bearers for the year, training programs were held to YCS members as well as animators at diocese level. The training program inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese. During the inaugural function Bishop presided and inaugurated the occasion. Francis D’Cunha Resource person, Rev Fr. Charles Menezes National Director of YCS, New Delhi, Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Director of ICYM/YCS/YSS, Diocese of Udupi, Norbert Misquith Resource Person and office Bearers of YCS were present on the dais.

During the inaugural function Elson D'Souza President YCS welcomed the gatherings while Fredil Rebello proposed vote of thanks. Rozalia Cardoza compered the program.

The valedictory function held in the evening which presided by Rev Fr. Charles Menezes. Rev Fr. Chetan Machado YCS Director of Delhi Diocese and Director of northern states of India was the chief guest. Rev Fr. Edwin D’souza, Leslie Aroza former Convener of Youths and also Vice President of Family welfare commission of the diocese, Previta President of YCS, Karnataka State, Elson D’souza President, Shiny Castalino Secretary along with present and past office bearers of the YCS were present on the dais.

Fr. Charles Menezes and Fr. Chetan Machado spoke during the occasion. Prior to the valedictory function, elections for the year 2014/15 were conducted. The following YCS office bearers of Udupi Diocese for the year 2014/15 as :
