Gloria 2013 – An ICYM Bangalore Christmas Concert

15th December, 2013: The Archdiocesan Youth Commission celebrated Christmas with a colorful exhibition of song and dance at GLORIA 2013 a Christmas Concert at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral Grounds on Sunday, December 15th 2013.

This year features exclusive performances by The Upper Room Ministries, TAP the Acoustic Project and Insara together with fifteen other parish youth groups. Santa came along with bags full of goodies for all the participants as a lucky draw all through the event saw many a smiling faces walk away with a small gift loaded with love. The 2000 and odd crowd that braved the winter cold thoroughly enjoyed the evening that brought home a simple and profound message, “Jesus is our Peace, Joy and Love”. Msgr. S. Jayanathan the chief guest of the day spoke beautifully of Christ in our midst who invites us to break free from the chains that hold us to be liberated to love and spread Christian Joy in the world today. The Archdiocesan Youth Director, Rev. Fr. Divya Paul, acknowledged and thanked the youth of the Archdiocese for their effort to bring joy to the city of Bangalore during this season. He added in prayer that the young hearts that long for love might be filled with the eternal love of God and that Jesus who’s birth we celebrate may not just visit but be the ‘Emmanuel- God With Us’ to all the youth of our day.
