ICYM Bantwal Unit organises Konkani poetry reciting competition in association with Kavita Trust

4th November, 2018 : ICYM Bantwal Unit organised Konkani poetry reciting competition in association with Kavita trust on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Modankap School Hall. Mr. Sunil Lewis, Animator of ICYM Bantwal compered the inaugural session. Mr. Melwyn Rodrigues, Founder President of Kavita Trust addressed the audience about the importance of Konkani language and its growth and read out the rules and regulations of the competition.

The competition was conducted in two categories, below 15 years and above 15 years. Around 30 participants took part in the competition. Mr. Andrew L Dcunha, Mrs. Averyl Rodrigues and Mr. Stany Bela judged the event.

On behalf of the judges Mr. Andrew congratulated all the participants and appreciated their parents for encouragement. Rev. Fr Ashwin L Crasta, Assistant Parish Priest, Bantwal Church gave away the certificates to the participants and addressed the gathering. Ms. Anisha Frank proposed the vote of thanks. ICYM Bantwal Unit President Mr. Avinash Dsouza and Secretary Ms. Annet Dsouza monitored the event.
