The YCS Mangalore Diocesan Retreat 'Kristhacho Sangath' was help in Mulki Devine Call Retreat Centre,

9 to 11 October, 2016 : 360 Students of YCS from 60 parishes of the Diocese participated in this spiritual program. The Retreat was inauguarated in a creative way. The Dexco brought the Holy Cross in procession and the Centre Director Fr Valerian SVD adorned the Cross with garland. The Chief Guest of the ceremony Very Rev Fr Joseph Martis, the Rector of St Joseph Inter - Diocesan Seminary Mangalore inaugurated the spiritual event by reading the Bible Reading from John 15 where Jesus says there is no greater love than giving one's own life for one' s freind. He later addressed the students on the main theme of the Retreat - Friendship with Jesus. The National President of YCS Miss Jeswita Quadros, the Diocesan President Miss Lavita D'Souza, Rev Anil Kiran Fernandes SVD, Mr Francis D'Cunha were on the dais.

The diocesan Director for YCS Fr Rupesh Madtha and the Dexco organised this event. The participants opined at the end that they had a pleasent experience with the Lord.
