Recollection

2nd March, 2014: Recollection for the Hospet denery youth is organized,the resource person is Fr. Anil D’sa SBD from Bangalore.

One day recollection for the youth of Lingasur deanery will be conducted on 23 - 03 - 2014.
The gathering came to a close with a short prayer of thanksgiving by Rev. Fr. Alphonse George. A followed by short refreshments.

Together we shall make a world of difference:
A day's seminar was organized by the diocesan youth commission to the Hospet and Koppal Deanery youth at Sacred Heart Church, Hospet. On 2nd March, 2014. One hundred forty-six youth participated in it.The main theme selected for the seminar was “Together we shall make a World of Difference”. The seminar began with Prayer service conducted by Rev. Fr. Alphonse George, the Director of Diocesan youth. Rev. Fr. Bagavanthraj, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fernandes, the Parish Priest of Hospet. Rev. Fr. Amal, Rev. Fr. Anil D’sa, the Resource person of the Day and Mr. A. Anthony D’Silva were present for the Inaugural Programme. The Dean in his inaugural address said “Our Catholic youth must lead a different life to change the world, the life which our Lord taught us, you must always think good, speak good, do good, to witness...”. Fr. Anil D’Sa Regional director of Bosco youth stressed in his speech more upon the practical spirituality of the youth. Fr. Francis Chinnappa spoke about the role of the youth in the church. Around 3pm the Holy Eucharist, was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil. The seminar came to an end with a short cultural programme staged by participants parish-vise and with good news announced by Mr. Anthony D’silva that he would take all the participants to Goa to have Dharshna of St. Francis Xavier, in November 2014. A Heartfelt Gratitude to the entire parish Priests who sent their youth to the seminar, the two deans, Fr. Bangavantraj and Fr. Tommy for their presence and encouragement. Fr. Anthony Fernandes, Fr. Mark Coelo. Fr. Anil, for their valuable presence. A special thanks and appreciation to Fr. Amalraj for his initiative and support to the youth commission.
