I.C.Y.M Cascia Unit, Episcopal City Deanery - Mangalore Celebrates " Thalenthaso Pavs 2K17"

8 August 2017: ICYM Cascia Unit organized "Thalenthanso Pavs 2K17" (Showers of Talents) an Inter Ward Competition for Cascia parishioners on 23rd July 2017 at Cascia Church Hall from 4:45 pm to 8 pm with the theme Entertainment!!! Entertainment!!! Entertainment.

The programme commenced with a prayer song led by ICYM Cascia Unit Members. President for the programme was Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas, the Parish Priest of St. Rita Church, Cascia. Fr. Rupesh Madtha, the Diocesan YCS Director was the Chief Guest. The Special Guests were ICYM Mangalore Diocesan President Mr. Elroy Patrick Saldanha, Omzoor, ICYM Mangalore Diocesan General Secretary Mr. Joel Immanuel Concessao, Milagres, ICYM Mangalore Diocesan Treasurer Mr. Jaison Pereira, Shirthady were present for the programme.

The competitions were evaluated by Mrs. Flora Castelino, Mr. Snehith Lobo, Vamanjoor, Mr. Joel Mascarenhas, Milagres. Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas and Fr. Rupesh Madtha were florally welcomed to this programme with a bouquet by Cascia I.C.Y.M Members. Special Guests and Judges were florally welcomed to this programme with a bouquet and also with a Memento as a token of Love and Appreciation by Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas. Mr. Frenton Irol D'Souza, Cascia florally welcomed Episcopal City Deanery Secretary Mr. Joywin Madtha with a bouquet. Episcopal City Deanery President Mr. Frenton Irol D'Souza Cascia and Episcopal City Deanery Amcho Yuvak Representative Ms. Sushma D’Souza were felicitated with a bouquet by Fr. Rupesh Madtha as they were elected for the post of President and Amcho Yuvak Representative at Episcopal City Deanery from Cascia parish.

Eight out of ten wards from the parish, participated in the programme with the following team names: Virgo, Aquarius, Taurus, Capricorn, Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Scorpio. All the teams had exposed their talents with their unique performance and made this event a grand success.

This event was filled with Lots of Entertainment, One Mega Bumper Draw along with 9 fun filled Lucky Draws were conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners by I.C.Y.M Members. “Thalenthaso Pavs 2K17” Winners trophy was bagged by Team Gemini. Runners up Trophy was bagged by Team Pisces as well both winning teams received Cash prizes and Team Aquarius bagged Special Award for Maximum No of participants in a team of all age categories.

Finally Ms. Sushma D’Souza, Secretary, I.C.Y.M Cascia thanked everyone for being part of this programme. The entire event was excellently compered by Ms. Vishma D’Cunha, President I.C.Y.M Cascia and Mr. Glen Tauro, Treasurer, I.C.Y.M Cascia. The event “Thalenthaso Pavs 2K17” concluded with Non Stop Baila for the entire parishioners.
