ICYM Central Council Meet at Thirthahalli

The Central Council of the Youth Commission of the diocese of Shimoga gathered for a planning session on 01March 2015 at Thirthahalli in view of Deanery Youth Convention. The DEXCO members convened the meeting along with the local unit of Thirthahalli. There were totally 19 members and two animators present for the meeting. The council having motivated the local youth to take up the responsibility to convene the Deanery Convention accompanied them to draw up action plan in detail. The parish priest and the local youth director Fr. Gilbert Lobo assisted the youth in the planning process. The day for this convention was decided to be on 26 April 2015. It was also decided to have Inter Religious Dialogue on the same evening along with a short cultural program. The animator Sr. Maria UFS was instrumental in galvanizing the spirit of the youth to commit themselves for this event. The council also visited the parishes Kable, Nagar and Hosanagara
