VYC - Vardo Youth Convention

28 November 2014:
Eastern Deneary- Mangalore Diocese Catholic Youths were gathered at Kokkada on Friday, November 28th, to take part in the mega event "Vardo youth convention - 2014" with the theme "Youths Step towards new direction".

Inaugural programme was presided by Very Rev Fr. Alfred J Pinto

29 November 2014:
Eucharistic mass at 6.30 am celebrated by Fr. Ronald Lobo, and Fr. Ronald D'souza.

Indoor Games
Mr. Alwyn Agar, Mr. Sanod Lobo and Mr. Marvin conducted Indoor games. Lungi dance wearing pagadi by girls was the main attraction First session by Mr. Ronald Pinto Vice Principal of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore on the topic, "Career Guidance". He suggested some tips for youth to how to face interview and try our best to write competitive exams.

Second session by Mr. Vinod Gangoli Media Person of Divek Amarth, Mangalore on the topic, "Communication Skills and Leadership". He exmained the youth how to commnicate with others and how to become a good leader who does not move backward at any difficulties and step forward for others benefits.

Outdoor games
Mr. Alwyn Agar conducted outdoor games. Tug of war and water baloon throw was the main attraction Taize worship by Mr. Norbet Misquith. It was wonderful experience. After dinner. Group wise cultural programs were held. It was a opportunity to express our talents.

30th November 2014:
Eucharistic mass at 8am celebrated by Fr. Victor D'Souza and Fr. Richard D'Souza

Quiz was conducted by Mr. Anil Pais
Treasure hurt was conducted by Mr. Viyon Robin Veigas and Mr. Ashwin Sequeria
Debate by Mr. Viyon Robin Veigas and Mr.Wilson Bambil. Topics was intercaste marriage.
After the Debate the youths had a lunch,

Mr. Joswin Fernandes, delegate said "After 3yrs i have been participated in this Youth Convention Fantastic experience, no comments on team work, happy to be a part of this thanks to Vishwas and team who worked for us "
