ICYM Shamboor unit organizes Information programme on Health and Water Preservation

30th September, 2018 : ICYM Shamboor unit organized Information programme on Health and Water Preservation on Sunday, 30th September 2018 at 9:00 am in Shamboor Church Hall. Initially breakfast was served to the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Rev Fr Jerald Pinto Parish Priest along with Guest Priest Rev Fr Jacob Alvares, Gilbert Pinto Vice President Parish Pastoral Council, Lancy Crasta Animator ICYM Shamboor unit, Denis Lobo President Catholic Sabha, Denzil Lobo President ICYM Shamboor unit, Seema Pinto Secretary along with the resource persons of the day were the dignitaries for the programme. The programme commenced with the prayer song. Denzil Lobo Unit President welcomed the guests and the gathering to the programme. Gilbert Pinto addressed the gathering with an introductory speech. Rev Fr Jerald Pinto addressed the gathering on the significance of the programme followed by Jayarama Poojary took a session on the cleanliness of the environment, Safety precautions against various diseases and how to live a healthy life. Henry Walder took a session on water preservation tricks and how to create preservation ponds. Both the sessions were effective and were reachable to the gathering. Seema Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. At the end, variety saplings were distributed by the parish priest to each and every family of the parish. There was a good response from the parishioners, as the outcome of this programme the members of ICYM Shamboor unit dug water preservation ponds in the church yard.
