Karnataka Regional YCS/YSM Committee Meeting

Participants: Diocesan Executive Team, Bhopal Convention Delegates Regional Executive Team.

27th April, 2014: Regional YCS / YSM Committee meeting and Bopal Convention delegates preparation meeting was organized at Holy Cross Students home , katpady Udupi. There were 35 participants from 5 diocese namely Belgaum,Gulberga, Mangalore, Shimoga and Udupi. The meeting started with mass offered by Msqr. Baptist Menezes Vicar General of Udupi. He inspired the youth to work for the church & use all the opportunities before them to build better society.

The official meeting commenced at 11:30 am. Ms. Frivita the Regional president of Karnataka welcomed Rev Fr. Mari Joseph RYD, Rev Fr. Ronald Veigas, Rev Fr. Victor Anil Vas, Rev Fr. Edwin D’souza, and the Lady Animators, the Lay Animators, the NEXCO’S, the REXCO’S, and the Bhopal delegates. The minutes of the previous Council was read by Mr. Christ Vivek the Vice president, the report proposed by John Lewis and seconded by Ms. Frivita. After the briefing of the purpose and agenda of the meeting by Fr. Mari Joseph the reports from various dioceses were presented. Fr. Mari Joseph urged the directors & animators to keep updating the report to region so that reports are uploaded in the Regional website.

As a Regional team discussed about the responsibilities through which we have to get ready for the Bhopal convention. The cultural items and charts of the diocesan report were distributed accordingly,the inter religious prayer in-charge taken by diocesan directors. Fr. Mari Joseph spoke about the future plans of the Region & the meeting concluded at 3.30 pm with the tea after that there was a short picnic to Malpe Beach and Asta Matah. By 7 pm the programme came to an end. Thanks to Fr. Edwin D’souza the director Udupi diocese and his team for their timely perfect preparation for the regional meeting.
