Priyanka Shruthi Noronha of Pamboor elected President of YCS, Udupi Diocese

Priyanka Shruthi Norohna of Holy Cross Church Pamboor unit elected President of Youth Catholic Students (YCS)of Udupi Diocese during the General Body meeting and Training program held at Bishop’s House Hall, Udupi on Sunday, 5th July, 2015.

The program of the day started with Eucharistic celebration which Rev Fr. Edwin D’souza Director of the YCS was the main celebrant. After the mass, Norbert Misquith resource person gave beautiful training for the all deanery office bearers’ of YCS, Diocese of Udupi.

YCS diocese resource person Francis D’Cunha gave training for diocesan YCS Conveners during the training program. He pointed out the role of conveners’ of YCS and how conveners’ can guide and help YCS members at large. Prof. Vincent Alva Professor at Milagres College, Kallianpur also gave training for the conveners’ of YCS.

In the second session in the afternoon taking over of the office bearers of the Udupi Diocese level YCS council for the year 2015/16 held. Rev Fr. Royal Nazareth of Katapdy and also Director of YCS Udupi Deanery presided the taking over ceremony. Kallianpur Deanery YCS Director Rev. Fr. Rolwin Aranha was the chief guest, ICYM Central Committee officials, Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza Director of Youth Commission, Francis D’Cunha, Norbert Misquith, John Castelino of Moodubelle and Leena Mendonca of Pangala Conveners’ of YCS, Udupi Diocese, YCS office bearers of past and present were present on the dais.

Zeenal Saldahna outgoing Secretary placed the report for the year 2014/15. All central council committee office bearers expressed their wonderful experience during the occasion. Outstanding Director of YCS/YSM and ICYM Rev Fr. Edwin D’Souza gave announcements and some of the program to be held during the year.

Earlier Clive Quadros welcomed the gatherings and expressed his experience as a President for the year and he congratulated all the office bearers of YCS for the coming year 2015/16. The Secretary elect Viyol Ezekiel Crasto delivered vote of thanks. Viola Mendonca Kuntal Nagar compered the program.
