The Diocesan Youth convention was held on 24 – 26th January, 2105 at Bidar in Gulbarga Diocese. 217 youth from all over the diocese took part in the three days of convention. The convention was hosted by the Bidar ICYM unit which took place at St. Joseph College Bidar.

The convention began with the inauguration by lighting the lamp and flag hosting. The national ICYM treasurer Mr. James D’Souza was the chief guest for the inauguration programme. Fr. Stany Govies the Dean of Bidar was the president. After the inauguration Taize prayer was conducted by Br. Albert from Jesus Youth.

During the convention some important topics were focused pertaining to the situation of the diocese.

They are
1. Youth Role in the Catholic Church by Most Rev. Robert M. Miranda Bishop of Gulbarga
2. Immoral influence of Media by Mrs. Mangala Bhagawath
3. Local Self Governance and Role of Youth in Grama Panchayath
4. Declaration of Christian Identity and schemes from Government and the benefit for Christians.
5. Panel discussion on the current diocesan issues. These were the main topics dealt during the convention.

In the evening there was stage progrmme. Bishop of Gulbarga Most Rev. Robert Michael Miranda, Gulbarga High Court Judge, Mr. Augustin, Diocesan Vicar Geral Rev. Fr. Stany Lobo, Bidar Dean Rev. Fr. Stany Govies, Regional ICYM Director Rev. Fr. Mari Joseph, Regional ICYM President Mr. Martin, National ICYM Treasurer Mr. James D’souza, Diocesan Youth President Mr. Vinod, Diocesan lady animator Sr. Vanditha, Bidar parish ICYM president Mr. Subhash, diocesan youth director Fr. Victor Vas, were present on the stage.

After the stage programme there was cultural competition. At the end of the day all the youth took an oath to live in Christian faith, to help in the parish, to elect a good leader in the Grama Panchayath election, and declare Christian identity.

The Yuvamahotsava was concluded on 26th morning with the flag hosting.
