Ycs/Ysm Karnataka Regional Meeting & Nexco Election at Nbclc, Jan. 7th 2023
On January 7, 2023, the Karnataka Regional Youth Commission, in collaboration with the YCS/YSM Archdiocese of Bangalore, organized the YCS/YSM Regional Meeting and NEXCO representative election at NBCLC Bangalore. Rev FrLourd Raj(RYD), Fr Anil Dsa (YCS Asian Chaplain), Fr Vivian Richard Chaplain YCS/YSM Archdiocese of Bangalore, Mr.DerilD’Sa YCS/YSM National President, Mr.Abhishek the national co-ordinator, Mr.Briston Rodrigues YCS Regional President were present for the inaugural function. There were 35 members including five directors and two animators participated in the meeting.Fr Vivian Richard welcomed the participants. With his keynote adderess, FrLourd Raj set the tone. Fr Anil D’sa, the Asian Chaplain and resource person of the day, led the group in an analysis of the present situation of the YCS/YSM’s current situation.He motivated the participants to speak on the qualities required to build YCS and YSM. YCS is cell-based and allows members to share their interests, problems, experiences, anxieties, etc, and find a solution through the YCS methodology of seeing, judging, and acting.

He also enlightened the participants on dynamic leadership and the 15 Cs of a qualitative leader through group activity. After the session, the election of the Representatives for the National team was conducted. The nominated young students from the dioceses were enthusiastic to contest the election. They were introduced to the group and asked to share their views. The Female Nominees were Amica Frank, Shiny, and Ruby and Male Nominees, Anson, Alvin, Joshua, and Allen contested the election. Amicaand Anson were elected as NEXCO representatives.The day’s meeting concluded with the Eucharist Celebration.
