EPHPHATHA- Youth Retreat – Udupi

An opportunity to Step away to a solitary abode, to recollect, reconsider, and reencounter, to engage with the spiritual self and God, 200 youth heeded the invitation of the ICYM Attur unit hosted a diocese level youth retreat named ‘EPHPHATA’ at St. Lawrence Minor Basilica, Attur, on March 10 th , 2024. Fr. Pius D’Souza, the DYD of Shimogga Diocese, got off to a flying start with his lively action song to stimulate positively and open the hearts to experience the power and love of Christ. “Addiction in today’s world”, a topic presented by Ms. Supriya, the General Secretary ICYM, INDIA, and the talk by FR. Pius helped the youth to explore their spiritually and emotionally paralyzed areas, that cut off from the spiritual energies within their souls. When the attending priest celebrated the Holy Eucharist and laid their hands on each youth in prayer, a shower of numerous blessings descended upon them for inner freeing and healing and opened the mind for spiritual receptivity and wholeness, to let the heaven reform their hearts and to receive heaven’s blessings.
