ICYM Yuvajanotsava programme of Gulbarga Diocese

Gulbarga Diocesan Convention “Yuvajanotsava” was held on February 27-28 at St. Joseph College Bidar. programme began on 27th Evening at 7pm with the inauguration. Rev. Fr. Leo Veigus the president of St. Joseph Institutions was the president of the programme. Fr. Mari Joseph the Regional ICYM Secretary, Mr. Sijo Thomas, the National ICYM President, Miss. Margaret, Regional Vice president were the chief guest of the programe. The ICYM National President called the youth not to migrate to other places but becoming leaders in their own place through serving the society and shine through their work. Night there was adoration which was conducted by Rev. Fr. Nelson OCD on the theme of Mercy of God.

On 28th Rev. Fr. Mari Joseph took a session on the “Use of Media”. He explained to them the benefit of media and also the dangers that are faced in present society by youth.

Being in the Decennial of the diocese the diocesan pastoral plan secretary presented the report of the evaluation. He spoke on the concerns of youth that came in the diocesan evaluation. Rev. Fr. Vincent Periera presented the statistics of the diocese and Rev. Fr. Stany Lobo the Vicar Genral of the diocese presented the vision and mission of the diocese.

In the afternoon there was cultural competition and at the end there was concluding programmed. Most Rev. Robert Michael Miranda Bishop of Gulbarga was present for the programme. He called the youth to become active leaders at home, parish and society. Fr. Mari Joseph, Regional ICYM Secretary, Mr. Sijo Thomas National ICYM President, Miss. Margaret Regional Vice president, were present during programme. The programme was organized by the DEXCO of Gulbarga.
