Chaplains’ Animators’ Training Program 2014 at Bangalore

Tenth day of C.A.T began with Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mari Joseph, Regional Youth Director of Karnataka. Theme of the day was ‘Commitment’. In his homily he shared his experience as a priest as well as youth director. He said that it is Joy to work with youth. What we need is strong faith in Jesus and in ourselves. At 9am Mr. Chris L. Bernard from Karnataka Regional Organisation Social Services (KROSS) Institute for Civil Services, spoke on “Empowering Value Based Leaders for Nation Building”. He said that empowering youth as value based leader is the need of the hour. He said that youth should stand for Gospel Values and they should stand for justice. He said youth should become role models, and uphold catholic values and ethics. He also explained how violence is spreading in various parts of our country. He said that we are not here to spread hatred or spread hatred but we should work to bring justice for all and make our country peaceful place to live. At 11 am appreciation to one another activity conducted by NEXCO’s for the participants. Then Fr. Franklin took a concluding as well as evaluation session.
