Humnabad Zonal ICYM Yuva Sammilana at Talmadige Bidar

The ICYM Yuva Sammilana of Humnabad zone in Gulbarga diocese was held on August 28, 2013 at St Lawrence Church Talmadige, Bidar. There were 78 youth from four parishes that is Talmadige, Humnabad, Itga and Jalasangi were participated in the Yuva Sammilana.

The day began with the Eucharist celebration. Fr. Victor vas The Diocesan Youth Director celebrated the mass. During his homily he asked the youth to become strong in their faith and contribute something for the church by becoming leaders in the society.

After the holy Eucharist we inaugurated the Yuva Sammilana programme by hosting the flag. Professor Dr. Michael the chancellor of Gulbarga University was the chief guest for the programme. After hosting the flag he spoke to the youth and said that the youth are the back bone of the church. They must grow strong in faith in order to bring change in the Catholic Church. He asked them to change themselves and then try to change the society. They should build leadership quality among themselves.

After the programme games competitions and cultural competitions were arranged for the youth. At the concluding ceremony Mr. Vijay Guttedar the diocesan youth president asked the youth to feel Catholic Church as our church and we all work together to build the Church. After the prize distribution Fr. Victor Vas the DYD thanked the parish priests, youth animators and the youth for making the day as memorable one.
