Bhalki and Basavakalyana Deanery ICYM Yuva Sammilana

The ICYM Yuva Sammilana of Bhalky and Basavakalyana Zoan was held on 22-9-2013 at Holy Redeemer Church Bhalki. Around 85 youths from Bhalki, Hulbarga, Hulsoor, and Muchalamba centres were present for the programme

The day began with the prayer service. After the prayer service, by lighting the lamp programme was inaugurated. Br. Victor OFM was the chief guest for the programme. He said in his inaugural speech that youth have so many talents and they should find out those talents and come up in their lives. Fr. Victor Vas the DYD, Fr. Stany Govious, Mr. Vijay, Diocesan Youth President and youth representative were present on the stage.

After the inaugural programme various competitions were conducted for the youth. Bhajan competitions, still picture, rangoli, drawing, dance competitions were held in the morning. Afternoon all the youth took part in the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. StanyGovious was the main celebrant asked the youth to increase their faith and to give witness to Christ through their life style. After the lunch there were sports competitions among the four centres. Valley ball, throw ball, tug of war and running race competitions were held for the youth.

At the end we had concluding ceremony of the Yuva Sammilana. Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues the director of Holy Redeemer church Bhalki was the chief guest for the programme. He asked the youth to take active participation in all the church activates. Fr. Victor Vas DYD asked the youth to strengthen the ICYM units in the centres by attending the mass on every Sunday and taking active participation in the church activities and conducting regular ICYM meetings. At the end prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. Mr. Vijay DYP did the M.C, Rev. Fr. Venil D’ silva gave the vote of thanks. Directors, Animators and the sisters from all the four centres were present for the Yuva Sammilana
