Leadership Training Programme for the ICYM Animators and the Office Bearers of Gulbarga Diocese

Gulbarga Diocese held a leadership training programme for the ICYM animators and the office bearers on June 27, 2015 evening to 28th afternoon at Orbit, Bidar. There were 47 ICYM animators and office bearers participated in the programme.

The leadership training programme of ICYM began with Adoration. For the Inaugural programme Fr. Stany Govies the dean of Bidar Deanery was the chief guest, Fr. Mari Joseph the ICYM Regional Secretary, Fr. Victor Anil Vas, the Youth director, Sr. Vanditha Diocesan Lady Animator, Mr. Vinod the diocesan ICYM president and Miss. Rebeca the diocesan secretary were present. Fr. Victor Vas the Youth Director welcomed the guest and gathering. After the welcoming speech the programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

Fr. Stany Govies spoke on his inaugural speech that the Youth have a lot of energy. They need to use it for the construction purpose. They need to help each other to come up in their lives. After the supper all the animators and office bearers sent in parish wise groups to make a yearly plan.

On Sunday Bishop Most Rev. Robert Michael Miranda was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic Celebration. After the mass he asked the office bearers from different parish about the functioning of the ICYM in the diocese. Later in his speech he invited the youth to strengthen ICYM units in the centre level. He told youth leaders that there are lots of government facilities for our people and youth have to help them to get those facilities.

Later Fr. Mari Joseph the Regional ICYM Secretary explained to them the structure and functioning of ICYM in Diocesan, Regional, National, and International Level. He called them to be strong leaders in the parish and also in the society.

At last the youth president honoured the resource persons and thanked them for their valuable presence to guide our youth. Later Fr. Victor Vas the Youth Director of Gulbarga thanked all those who worked for the success of the Leadership Training programme.
