5th ICYM General Body Meeting & Election of New Office Bearers of Udupi Diocese for the year 2017-18

Udupi, Jun 21: The election of the new office bearers of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) was held at Don Bosco hall, Mother of Sorrows Church on June 18 and Sharline D’Sa from Belman parish in Shirva deanery was elected as the president.

The annual general body (AGM) meeting was held under the leadership of Loyal D’Souza in the beginning and later the session continued to elect the office bearers for the year 2017-18.

A session on ‘Social sensitization’ was conducted by Dr Vincent Alva, Principal, Milagres College, Kallianpur and Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Anil Jacob D’Sa, Regional Youth Director of Karnataka Region.

Fr Edwin D' Souza, the Diocesan Youth Director, presided oath taking ceremony to the new office bearers.

Former president Loyal D’Souza welcomed the gathering while the newly elected president Sharline D’Sa delivered the vote of thanks. Lavita Pinto, Gangolli compered the entire programme. Around 132 youth were present on the occasion.
