YCS / YSM
Young Christian Students / Young Students Movement (YCS/YSM) is a dynamic, student-led, cell-based movement that empowers teenagers and high school students to become agents of positive change in schools, parishes, and society.
Inspired by the Young Christian Workers (YCW) founded by Cardinal Joseph Cardijn (Belgium, 1920), the movement now operates globally, with a strong presence across India. In Karnataka, it functions under the Karnataka Regional Youth Commission (KRYC).
Core Methodology: See – Judge – Act (Review of Life)
• SEE (Awareness): Observe and analyze real-life situations and challenges.
• JUDGE (Reflection): Evaluate them using faith, Gospel values, and human dignity.
• ACT (Action): Take practical steps to bring positive change.
