YCS/YSM India organized Formation Session & XIX National Council at Sacred Heart Seminary
YCS/YSM India organized Formation Session & XIX National Council at Sacred Heart Seminary, Poonamallee in Chennai from 22-29 May 2023 on the theme Gen Z for a Self-Sustaining World, holding the Thrust: “Sustenance; Healthy Living; Voice of the Voiceless.” It was well planned and organized programme hosted by Tamil Nadu Region. 110 participants across India had come from seven regions among them 20 were from Karnataka including directors, animators and students.
Everyone desires to inhale clean air, consume pure water, and want to live a long and healthy life. On the other hand, it is we, who are responsible for climate change, a world without seasons, heat waves, or unexpected rain. To strike a balance, each individual has to be aware and contribute a lot to nature. The resource persons are aware of the participants to think of the destructions that had been caused by the human. It was an action-oriented talk which provoked the hearer to put it into practice.
The amendments were altered I the council, the regional repots were presented, the action plan for the next three years were prepared and presented to the council, and suggestions were welcomed to improve and strengthen the movement across India. On the last day, the YCS/YSM NEXCO election was conducted in which Mr Anson Nazreth from Udupi and Amika Franc from Mangalore representatives from Karnataka Region participated. Mr Anson Nazrethwas elected as National Convener and MsAmika became a member of NEXCO for 2023-2026.
