Brief report on “Two days Leadership Training Programme for all the ICYM Parish youth office bearers of Chikmagalur Diocese”

Venue: St. Antony’s Church, Mudigere

ICYM Chikmagalur Diocese had organised “Two days Leadership Training Programme for all the ICYM Parish youth office bearers of Chikmagalur Diocese”. The training programme was organised on 14th and 15th October 2021 at St. Antony’s Church, Mudigere by the DEXCO team Chikamaglur with the support of Rev. Fr. Sunil Rodrigues the DYD of Chikmagalur diocese.

Rev. Fr. Anil D’sa of Archdiocese of Bangalore was invited as resource person for the two days training programme. He had engaged the young catholic youth leaders with various leadership related activities, sessions on importance of young leaders and mostly importantly emphasized on the roles and responsibilities of Parish youth office bearers or representatives of ICYM unit in their respective parishes. He gave a call to every youth participates to be a good leaders like Lord Jesus and spared the love of God through their action as leader.

Mr. Jaison Pereira Shirthady the youth President of ICYM regional level, Mr. Prajwal Lopez and Ms. Deepthi Sofia the Asian Mijarc Coordinators and the Youth representatives from Archdiocese of Bangalore shared their experience as youth leaders and their contribution in their parish, regional and nation youth movement.

The event would not have been so successful without the participation of 150 young ICYM youth representatives from 24 parishes of Chikmagalur diocese. The two days was a great event with lots of learning, fun full activities, praise & worship and of course with the blessings of God almighty.
