One-day Orientation Programme for YCS/YSM Students in Mysore
On July 15, 2023, the YCS/YSM Regional Team organized an orientation programme for the 10, 11, and 12thgrade students of the diocese of Mysore that focused on initiating and preparing the young potential and promising minds for character change and faith formation through the cell work of the YCS/YSM that was open to all the schools under the same diocese, and 300 students participated and benefited from the well-thought-out platform. Monsignor Rev. Fr. Alfred John Mendoza, Diocese of Mysore, the Regional Youth Director Fr. Lourd Raj, Sr. Molly, the Regional Lady Animator YCS/YSM, the Diocesan Youth Director Fr. Avinash, Sr. Angeline UFS, coordinator, SR. Maria FDM, the animator of the diocese of Mysore, Fr. Anil D’sa, the animator of the day, Mr.Briston, the president YCS/YSM Karnataka andMr.Vance, the Vice president YCS/YSM, were on hand for the inaugural ceremony. Msgr. Rev. Fr. Alfred John Mendoza, gave a formal beginning by officially inaugurating the session, followed by a gracious welcome accorded to all the members. Fr. Lourd Raj began the session with some activity and all the member organizers dealt with a topic appropriately that included the History, goal, purpose, why and how of the association meticulously to keep the going of the day in a flow with brainstorming activities and discussion questions, sharing and the participant students, through the cell meeting, learning to reach consensus for the months activity and discussing related barriers and solutions. Fr. Anil engaged in the session on Cell-meeting, which is one of the important features of the YCS/YSM Movement. It all ended well with a note of gratitude to God, the organizing team, and the participants.
