The Youth Convention - 2025

The Diocese of Gulbarga organized “Youth Convention 2025” at St. Joseph’s church Bidar, from January 24 to 26, 2025. The event brought together 233 youths from various parishes. The bishop of Gulbarga Most Rev. Dr Robert Michael Miranda, emphasized faith, love, hope, and service in his message. The Convention began with a vibrant cultural program. Fr. Clary’s inspiring talk touched on the challenges and values faced by the youth. The program included personal sharing, group discussions, prayers, adoration, confessions, and a campfire for spiritual nourishment as well to move forward with greater purpose. On the last day, January 26, the youth paid homage to the country on the 76th Independence Day of India, followed by a talk by Fr. David. His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Robert Michael Miranda celebrated the Holy Eucharist as the main celebrant. The cultural program expressed a rainbow of talents and a symbol of gratitude to the organizers and the youth participants. Fr. Sachin thanked the whole gathering, while Yeshappa, the REXCO, expressed a word of special appreciation to Fr. Sachin Christy, the Diocesan Youth Director for his initiative and hard work in conducting this program successfully. The convention wrapped up with an action song by the DEXCO members to highlight again the value of “Hope” in youth to keep their vigor ever burning
