1st preparatory meeting of NYC-2017

The meeting started after Sunday Holy Eucharist. Bishop Henry D`Souza chairman, KRCBC-Youth Commission Mr. Sijo Ambatt, National ICYM president, Mr.Jose Jacob CEO of INTEGRO and president of Abide were the guests.

Fr. Mari Joseph briefed about NYC-2017 which will be held in Mangalore in the month of January 2017 from 18-22 in St. Josephs Engineering College Vamanjoor. Mr.Alwyn D`Souza DYP of Mangalore Diocese briefed about Venue, various routes to reach Mangalore, and also culture of Mangalore.

Bp. Henry D'Souza Addressed the gathering how to prepare for NYC-17. How it was decided to have NYC-17 in Karnataka, Mangalore. He spoke about Cap-India, CAT and Do Cat translate to Kannada. Inaugurated ABIDE an ICYM Alumni of Karnataka.

After the Tea break Mr. Vipin Regional ICYM President presented NYC-2017 Cross journey which included dates to receive NYC cross by the different Diocese and how to make celebration of NYC Cross meaningful in their Diocese. in groups discussed about the Cross journey and came out with suggestions to have some charitable works and plating trees for respecting creation, ultimately each diocese has freedom to have programme in the diocese when the Cross is in their diocese. Regional Office will prepare the prayer service for NYC-Cross journey.
