ICYM and YCS Puttur Unit jointly organises Monsoon Showers - 2K18

2nd September, 2018 : “Age doesn’t limit one to enjoy the Monsoon showers” with this saying ICYM and YCS members of Mai De Deus Church Puttur jointly organized inter ward water games competition on Sunday 2nd September 2018 at 2.30pm at the Quadrangle of St.Philomena High School Puttur. Gavin Mascarenhas ICYM Unit President welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto Parish Priest Mai De Deus Church presided and inaugurated the “Monsoon Showers” programme by breaking the ‘Magical Pot’ which was erected in between the sprinklers. J P Rodrigues Vice President and Fabian Goveas Secretary Parish Pastoral Council, Dimple Fernandes Co-ordinator and Naresh Lobo YCS Animator, Gavin Mascarenhas ICYM Unit President, Lianna Rodrigues ICYM Unit Secretary and Cleevan Miranda YCS Unit President were the dignitaries on the dais.

Rev Fr Alfred J Pinto in his presidential speech cheered and graced Monsoon Showers - 2K18 which was organized by YCS and ICYM Puttur Unit. He congratulated all the participants of 14 wards and thanked the audience for encouraging the participants with their valuable presence. Various unique games were conducted for all the participants and the audience of different age-groups by Sylvester Alwyn Dsouza and his team from Mangalore. Adding to the fun and entertainment, the kids, youth and the couples were invited to dance under a amazing fountain showers. Besides these humorous and exciting games were organized to all the age groups. Everyone participated with lots of fun and frolic spilling on each other the water and muck, feeling the softness of the nature. In musical fountain and all other extra-ordinary water games were conducted where the children and youth enjoyed to their hearts content. Adding to these, there were also dances which attracted the crowd, which was performed by the youth of ICYM and YCS. There were down pour of applauses and congratulations from the audience towards the youth for wonderfully and systematically organizing such magnificent and awesome event.

The results of the events were announced by Jane Miranda ICYM Unit Treasurer. Prizes were distributed by the Vice President and Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council. Consolation prizes were distributed to rest of the wards for their active participation followed by Baila Dance from all the children and the youth.

Dimple Tauro Amcho Yuvak Representative proposed the vote of thanks. Cleevan Miranda YCS Unit President and Jane Miranda ICYM Unit Treasurer compered the programme.
