Youth Pledge for Peace at Gulbarga

20th November 2017: ‘Yuva Chethana’ the Youth commission of Gulbarga diocese in collaboration with IRD (Inter Religious Dialogue) commissionof CBCI and Regional Youth Commission organized a two day youth meet at Sugnan, Gulbarga on 18 & 19th November. The youth meet was centered around the theme “Youth for Peace”.

The programme inaugurated by Rev Sr Theresa FMA the National Secretary for IRD Commissiuon. Fr Stany of the Gulbarga Parish was the chief guest. ICYM, Bosco Youth from Bidar, Yadgiri and Gulbarga actively participated in the programme. Peace self, others, Nature and God is required to build a peaceful society.

Sessions on environment protection, interpersonal relationship, Spirituality and social responsibility were conducted for the two days. A lot of interaction and sharing among the youth of different religion helped to relish the difference and work for the common good.

Camp fire, fun and frolic, taize prayer, inter religious dialogue, group dynamics made the programme a grand success. The youth requested the organizers to have many more such programmes to poster peace with one another.
