ICYM Shirva Deanery Yuvasamagam 2017

ICYM Shirva Deanery organized Yuva Samagam 2017 at St. Josephs church Hall, Belman on Sunday, 20 August 2017.
The programme began with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Kiran Nazareth, Director of ICYM Shirva Deanery. This was followed by inaugural ceremony. The programme was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp. The dignitaries present on the dias were Fr. Kiran Nazareth, Director of ICYM Shirva Deanery, Mr. Alwyn Agera, Vice President Belman Parish, Mr. Faustine Dsouza, Secretary Belman Parish, Mrs. Lydia Aranha, Belman Parish Youth Commission Coordinator, Sr. Usha Stella, Superior of Belman Convent, Mr. Walter Dsouza, Animator ICYM Udupi Diocese, Ms. Sharline Dsa, President ICYM Udupi Diocese, Mr. Josnil Quadros, President ICYM Shirva Deanery and Mr. Renson Alva, Secretary ICYM Udupi Diocese and Shirva Deanery respectively. Ms. Frenita Dsouza, Mukamar compered the inaugural programme.
Soon after the inauguration, Fr. Kiran Nazareth conducted, few warm up activities & Ice Breaking. Thereafter, the participants were divided into ten groups and Fr. Stephen Dsouza, Director of Divya Jyothi Udupi Diocese conducted the Youth Catechism (YOUCAT) Training through power point presentation and group discussions.
In the afternoon various games & group activities were conducted by Fr. Sandeep Fernandes & Fr. Kiran Nazareth to strengthen the bond between the deanery youth. During the Valedictory Ceremony Fr. Edwin Dsouza, Parish Priest of Belman & Diocesan ICYM Director presided over the programme & gave his message. Fr. Paul Rego, Parish Priest of Pamboor Parish & Past Director of ICYM Shirva Deanery was the chief guest. On the occasion Fr Paul Rego was felicitated for his selfless service as the Deanery ICYM Director for the past 4 years. Mr. Josnil Quadros welcomed the gathering while Fr. Kiran Nazareth proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Jovita Vas, President of Mukamar Parish compered the event.
Around 134 youth from 11 parishes included in the Shirva Deanery participated in the Yuva Samagam 2017.
