DELTA Training programme held at Bhadravathi

ICYM Karnataka Region organized their 2nd leadership training programme DELTA (Diocesan Executive Leader Training Advancement) on May 10th and 11th at Bodhana Pastoral Centre, Bhadravathi. The event was hosted by the Diocese of Bhadravathi and brought together 32 participants, including youth leaders, animators, and directors from Bellary, Belgaum, Gulbarga, Bhadravathi, Chikmagaluru, Mandya, Bangalore, Mysore, and Shimoga dioceses.

The two-day programme began with fun introduction games that helped the participants get to know each other. The group also celebrated the birthday and ordination anniversaries of Fr Libin and Fr Franklin. Various team-building activities helped participants improve their coordination, communication, and leadership values.

Sessions on ‘Public Relations’ gave insights into media tools and how to do publicity which is useful for youth work. Participants also received practical training on AI tools, report writing, and poster making, which strengthened teamwork and leadership skills. The first day ended with an inaugural Eucharistic celebration, adoration, and a cultural evening. Fr Thomas, the Vicar General of Bhadravathi, was the guest for the stage programme and gave an inspiring message to the youth.

The second day began with a morning Eucharistic celebration followed by an energetic aerobics session conducted by Mr Harsha from Shimoga.

A session on ‘Canon Law’ by Fr Lordusamy T helped youths learn more about Church laws. A lively debate session followed, teaching time management and critical thinking. The event ended with sharing experiences and a vote of thanks, especially to the Diocese of Bhadravathi for their warm hospitality.
