ICYM DEXCO & YCS/YSM DTS Meeting held at Yuvamitra, Shimoga.

20th January, 2026 : A joint meeting of the ICYM DEXCO and YCS/YSM DTS was held at the diocese of Shimoga on January 18, 2026. The event, organized by Diocesan Youth Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza, took place at Yuvamithra, Shimoga. The meeting commenced with a prayer led by Ms Beena and blessings from Fr. Franklin D’Souza. ICYM president Ms Lenny D’sa welcomed the attendees. Fr. Franklin D’Souza introduced the missions of various organisations, including ICYM, MIJARC, YU4C, YVS/YSM, COMMUNIO, YU4C and AICUF. Agenda discussions focused on the yearly planner and defining the roles and responsibilities of the newly elected leaders for the year. At 12:30, Fr. Franklin celebrated the Holy Eucharist, preaching a homily on the commitment to the call of the youth ministry of the diocese of Shimoga. Then, after a break, the meeting resumed with further discussions on the yearly planner in detail, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the elected leaders throughout the year. At the end of the mass, Ms Josephine Sadhana, YCS/YSM president, thanked everyone.
