ECOTHON - A Marathon for Mother Nature

On June 23rd, 2024, The MCYM diocese of Puthur hosted Ecothon, A marathon celebrating World Environment Day and promoting Environmental conservation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, with Rt. Rev. Fr. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil, Cor-Episcopa, inaugurating the program. Global MCYM president Mr. Monu Joseph flagged off the journey towards Environmental sustainability. Participants ran from Kalara St. Joachim’s Church, Kadaba, with a message to protect and preserve nature. Winners were awarded prizes by Fr. Prakash Paul D’Souza, and A.S. I Chandrashekar. Ecothon demonstrated the community’s dedication to sustainability and environmental conservation.
