"Called Home Too Soon: Honoring Young Soul"

Gloria Asha Rodriguez, a former ICYM member, and a lecturer at St. Aloysius College in Mangalore, had her life tragically cut short. After consuming food, she suffered from suffocation and breathlessness. Rushed to Father Muller's Hospital, the medical team fought to save her, but their effort was futile. Miraculously through resuscitation efforts, Gloria's heart began beating again. However, the lack of blood supply to her brain for 45 crucial minutes had resulted in irreversible brain damage. In the face of unbearable grief, Gloria's father and brother made a remarkable decision. They chose to honor her legacy by donating her organs to those in desperate need. Her Lungs were donated to BGS Hospital in Chennai, her Heart to Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore, her Liver to A J Hospital Mangalore, her Kidney to KMC Manipal, and her Skin to Father Muller's Rotary Skin Bank, Mangalore. Gloria's spirit now lives on, pulsing through the hearts of those who received her gifts. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
