The Karnataka Regional Youth Commission (KRYC) held a joint meeting on April 6th, 2025, at the Subodhana Centre in Bangalore, bringing together core team members from YCSYSM, YOU CAT and ICYM units across Karnataka. The meeting aimed to review past initiatives, strategize upcoming programs, and strengthen youth ministry efforts in the region. Youth leaders from various dioceses attended the one-day event, which fostered collaboration, dialogue, and a shared sense of mission. Ms. Vileena Gonsalves, the KRYC coordinator and the ICYM Regional president, moderated the proceedings, while Anson Nazareth, the National YCS/YSM president and Jesvita Lobo, the Regional YCS/YSM president, were present for the meeting. The gathering included updates on diocesan initiatives, discussions on challenges, and idea sharing on enhancing youth ministry growth and impact. Key topics discussed included the Regional Youth Convention, Student Leadership Training, and diocesan leaders' advanced training. The meeting was attended by Rev. Fr. Lourd Raj, Sr. Molly illickal, and Rev. Fr. George Fernandes. Following the meeting, the KRYC team conducted charitable outreach activities, distributing food packages and visiting Nirmala Shishu Bhavan, a home for the abandoned and differently abled Children. The team donated money and spent time with the children, concluding with prayer. The event deepened unity and purpose among the regional youth leader, reaffirming their commitment to service and nurturing the next generation of youth in Karnataka.
