“YCSYSM India Empowers Youth through National Student’s Leadership Training”

From October 30th to November 4th, 2024, YCSYSM India organized a National Students Leadership Training Program at Seva Kendra in Kolkata, attracting students nationwide. The Karnataka region was represented by 18 YCSYSM members from Mangalore, Udupi, and Chikkamagaluru dioceses, along with one animator led by Coordinator Briston Mario Rodrigues and YCSYSM National President Anson Nazreth. Fr. Chethan Machado’s keynote address, “Gen Z for Self-Sustaining World,” emphasized sustainability, healthy living, and social advocacy. Participants engaged in workshops, exposure visits, discussions on mission vs. ambition, cultural exchanges and leadership training. Sessions focused on compassion, justice, environmental protection and social responsibility. The program reached its climax with evaluations, action planning, and a cultural campfire. Inspired participants pledged responsible leadership. Organized by YCSYSM India, this program attained its objective of empowering promising young leaders.
