NextGen Digital: ICYM Udupi Hosts PRO Training Program

Udupi, Feb 16, 2025 - The ICYM diocese of Udupi hosted a half-day training program, “NextGen Digital,” for Public Relations Officers at Anugraha Pastoral Centre, Udupi. 40 PROs from across the diocese participated. The Holy Eucharistic celebration by Fr. Steven Fernandes invoked Divine intervention for the day. Facilitated by Fr. Anil Fernandes, Director of Canara Communication Centre, the program covered essential topics such as PR roles, media management, Crisis management, news writing, and AI tools for content creation. Participants were also introduced to digital media management platforms like Leonardo, Freepik, Canva, and the Catholic Connect App. The program empowered the participants with practical skills in media communication, AI tools and crisis management, enhancing their ability to handle PR responsibilities effectively. The event concluded with Nithin Baretto, the president of ICYM, Udupi, expressing gratitude to the organisers and facilitators.
