Spiritual Night

The ICYM Mangalore Diocese’s South Deanery organized “EMMAUS-2025”, a 12-hour spiritual gathering for 350 youth at St. Joseph Vaz Shrine, Mudipu. The event included prayer, worship, reflection, and faith centered activities. The event took place from 6.30pm on Feb22nd to 6.30am on Feb 23rd, 2025. The spiritual night began with a procession, ‘walk with Mary”, and concluded with St Joseph Vaz novena by Fr. Santhosh Menezes. Fr. Cyprian Pinto delivered a talk on “faith in Christ”, while Br. Rony Ammabel and team led a moving spiritual encounter session. As adoration was led by Fr. Cyril Lobo, and confessions were held simultaneously on the other side. The “Path of Mercy" session encouraged the youth to reflect on their weaknesses. Winston Joel Sequeira conducted the Novena of St. Gonsalo Garcia, Patron of ICYM. Faith based movies were screened, followed by activities, discussions, personal testimonies, and reflections on faith. Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Assisi Rebello and Fr. Santhosh Menezes, elevating the participants spiritual experience. Winston Joel Sequeira thanked Fr. Ashwin Cardoza and all contributors, noting EMMAUS-2025 proved to be an unforgettable and spiritually enriching experience for all youth.
