Kundapur Deanery Beginner’s Camp - 2024

The Young Catholic Students Kundapura productively hosted a beginner’s camp on August 4, 2024, at St. Mary’s College Hall, Kundapur, the campus was organized and introduced to welcome the 90 first PUC students into the YCS movement. The event commenced with YCS member's prayers and the symbolic lighting of the lamp ceremony, with Master Rayan Lobo, extending with a warm welcome and an inspiring inaugural address of Fr. Paul Rego, and a motivational message from Fr. Roy Lobo. Ishney Fernandes energized the young participants, followed by a session on the history and methodology of the YCS movement by Fr. Steven Fernandes. The Diocesan Council led the sessions focused on the YCS structure, vision, aims, objectives and rules, and provided the new members with a comprehensive understanding of the movement. The deanery expressed gratitude to supporters and guides for making the event a success. The camp concluded with the YCS anthem, inspiring participants with self- improvement, positive influence, and growth in faith as active community members.
