YUVATHARE and YUVAKEERTHI awards

Celebrating Youth Excellence: YUVATHAARE and YUVAKEERTHI 2025 event hosted by the youth commission “YUVAMITRA” of the diocese of Shimoga. The event took place on December 7, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Hall, Diocese of Shimoga. Competitions were held for Carol singing, Christmas-song-based dance, and star creation, with the cathedral parish securing first place in all categories. The Diocesan Youth Commission presented the YUVAKEERTHI awards to outstanding youth leaders for their inspiring leadership. Esteemed individuals, including Msgr. Stany D’Souza and Fr. Franklin D’Souza addressed the youth, emphasizing gospel values, positive attitudes, courage and faith.

Fr. Franklin D’Souza administered the oath to the new ICYM and YCSYSM office bearers for 2026. The Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shimoga youth unit, was named the best and most vibrant, receiving the YUVASAURABHA 2025 award. Fr. Simon Pinto presided over the Holy Eucharistic Ceremony, focusing his homily on joy and the kingdom of God. The event marked the beginning of the new journey with the YUVAMITRA Youth Commission, Shimoga.
