“Enlivening experience: Yuvamithra’s program for young leaders”

The Diocese of Shimoga’s Youth Commission, “Yuvamithra’ organised a leadership program for ICYM and YCSYSM at Don Bosco, Davanagere on February 22-23, 2025. Resource persons Fr. Franklin D’Souza and Sr. Tresa Lidya BS led the event. Fr. Regi SDB presented a lecture on the Don Bosco community’s child shelter services and educated youth leaders on the Juvenile Justice Act and child welfare. Fr. Franklin facilitated two sessions: “Revealing oneself to Jesus” and Self-Esteem”. Participants reflected on their attributes, shared inspirational experiences, and assessed their self-esteem levels. Fr. Franklin also led an inner healing adoration, focusing on Jesus' relational approach. His homily emphasized Divine mercy and love during the mass. The service concluded with Eucharistic adoration and healing prayers. Sr. Tresa Lidya led a session on “Personality Development”, while Fr. Franklin facilitated the session on “Leadership and Accountability”. Participants reported gaining inner strength and rediscovering their identities as Christian leaders. Alwyn the YCS/YSM president thanked the team for the engaging and uplifting session with the youth and Fr. Franklin concluded with a prayer.
