ICYM Bajjodi Unit celebrates 72 nd Indian Independence Day

15th August, 2018 : Members of ICYM Bajjodi Unit celebrated 72 nd Indian Independence Day and the feast of Assumption of Mother Mary along with the parishioners at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi. The celebration began with a Holy Eucharistic celebration at 6.30 am followed by Flag hoisting ceremony. The programme was presided by the Chief guest Alphonse Cutinha. The tricolour flag was unfurled by our Chief guest, along with Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ivan Dsouza, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Patrick Lobo, Vice President Joseph Mascarenhas and Secretary Irene Pinto. The National Anthem was sung after hoisting the flag. The Chief guest delivered the message to the gathering on the significance of Indian Independence day. Raveena welcomed and thanked the gathering. Jonita and team sang the patriotic songs. The programme was compered by Jewel Fernandes.
