The ICYM of Shimoga Diocese collaborated in WORLD BLIND WALK on World Vision Day

16th October, 2017: World Blind Walk a programme by Project Vision a dream child of Fr. George Kennanthanam is a unique program on the day of World Sight Day. World Blind Walk was the largest eye donation campaign in the world in 2016 as per the report compiled by the IAPB (International Association for the Prevention of Blindness) on world sight day. The Health Commission of the diocese of Shimoga in collaboration with Social Work Commission (SMSSS) and Youth Commission (Yuvamithra) had organised the World Blind Walk programme on 16.October 2017 in Shimoga. Hundreds of participants comprising of Youth, Women and Men of all walks of life walked blind folded in the hustled streets of Shimoga from the DC office to Sneha Sadhan, the community hall in the Campus of Sacred Heart Cathedral Shimoga. The participants in the programme and the dignified guests took an oath and donated their Eyes.
