BOSCO Youth Celebrate the National Youth Day at Davangere Zonal Youth Meet

To commemorate the 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and the feast of St John Bosco the Bosco Youth of Chitradurga zone came together to on 13th January 2013 at Don Bosco, Davangere. The one day zonal youth meet was inaugurated by the chief guest Rev Fr Kuriakose sdb (Youth Director of DBCLM) in the presence Mr Yogesh (Bosco Youth State President), Fr Rubin (Local Youth Director), Fr Michael (Vocation Promoter) and other dignitaries.

“Faith Journey” was the theme of the youth meet in which about hundred youth actively participated. Youth of different faith renewed their faith in self, others and God after an interactive session by Fr Michael K sdb. In the afternoon session Fr Siju (the Coordinator of the Chitradurga zone) animated the youth on public speaking. Later the catholic youth had youth mass animated by Fr Michael. The non-catholic youth had Inter religious prayers service led Fr Anil D’sa (Director- Don Bosco Youth Services, Karnataka).

Ms Manjula (State Vice president), Ms Mary Jyothi (State Secretary) and all the zonal Office bearers were present for the programme. Ms Mary Jyothi Welcomed the gathering and Mr Chethan (president of Local Unit) proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the programme . Mr Nataraj compered for the whole days programme.

Fr Rubin and Fr Siju organised programme together with BOSCO Youth of Leaders. Group discussions, group dynamics, praise & worship, fun and frolic made the sessions very participatory and lively. The programme was well appreciated by all the participants and pledged to their best in building the better world putting their trust in the self, others and God.
