YCS / YSM writes History with its ever first National Convention
18th May, 2014: YCS / YSM of India created history with its ever first National Convention at St. Xavier School, Barkhera, Bhopal, M.P. 500 YCS/YSM students gathered from nine regions of India to witness this event. At 5.30pm ICYM National Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza offered the inaugural Holy Mass for this historical convention together with the Regional as well as Diocesan Directors. Fr. Alexander local host as well as local organiser welcomed every one. Fr. Franklin in his homily asked teenagers to become inspirers in the society. He said teenagers should find hope in the Lord and give hope to others. With two incidents he explained how we can become inspirers in our movement. At 6.30 pm all the delegates gathered in regions for the flag hoisting. Flag hoisting was done by Ms. Irene Cynthia IAS. In her key note address she addressed the teenagers she said that for the success you should have purpose, planning, positive attitude, perseverance, and plan to work. Bhopal Archdiocesan YCS/YSM units organised a colourful evening for the participants to make this first convention memorable one.

YCS National Chaplain Fr. Charles Menezes is the main organiser of the event. he welcomed all the resource persons and rest of the dignitaries.
