KSLG Report

Karnataka Servant Leaders gathering was organized by the Karnataka Jesus Youth Team on 28th & 29th of June at Ryshivana in Mangalore. A unique blend of prayer and celebration was the core aspect of the programme. Adding to the KSLG, there was even the Reconstitution of the Karnataka Jesus Youth Team.

KSLG gathered around 90 leaders from all over Karnataka at one single venue that was the main attraction of the programme. It was a time of seriousness as well as joy. The main aim of the programme was to built strong youth missionaries, who will selflessly for Christ.

Mr.Dony Peter was the main resource for the programme. He took up sessions such as docility of the Holy Spirit, Our response to God’s plan in our lives etc. these sessions helped us understand in a deeper way on how God has set a plan for our lives even before our birth and we have got the obligation to follow the voice of Christ and do things pleasing to God.

We also had in our midst JYNT co-ordinator Mr. Antony AJ who helped us in understanding our mission in the city of Karnataka. JYNT members Mr.Shoy & Mr.John were with us, they shared about year of faith, our responsibilities towards the holy Catholic Church etc.

The discernment of the new KJYT for 2013-2015 also took place. The JYNT took charge of the discernment during which Mr.Nishan,JYDN led us into a meaningful time of adoration.

The new team was formed and anointed with Jomichan from Bangalore as the coordinator and Anil from Mangalore as the Asst.coordinator. The team members are as follows Golvin Peter, Preena, Anto, Brayan, Ronald, Mary, Pavithra and Saiju. As family representatives Siby& Mercy.

We were blessed with the presence of Fr.Joy and Fr. Francis who celebrated the mass for us and helped us partake in the salvation mystery of Christ. Sr.Sophia was also with us to guide us.

Thus two days in Ryshivana was a time for us to recommit ourselves to Christ for the mission he has called us to. Lets make our lives meaningful by walking in the way Christ has set for us.

Let God’s Will be done in Karnataka..
