Jesus youth faith conference

Jesus Youth is an international Catholic youth movement with a Charismatic spirituality, currently active in many countries throughout the world and approved by the CBCI (Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India). Jesus Youth is an initiative of young people, who try to reach out to other young people. The strength of the movement is its special focus on a life centered on God. Though not an actual community, Jesus Youth is a network of small but vibrant groups of young people who in their own life situations strive to give time to the Lord, responding to the challenges of today's world in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Youth is active in Karnataka since 1990 and has more than 80 prayer meetings. The Prayer meetings help the faith formations of youth. Karnataka Jesus Youth Team (KJYT) coordinates the activities of Jesus Youth in Karnataka and the Director of the team is Fr Joban (+91 9448683215) and the coordinator is Mr Shinto +919916533766.
Jesus Youth responded to the call of the mother church to celebrate this year as the ‘year of faith’ by organizing a series of events that will help the lay people to know, live and proclaim the faith. “Faith conferences” are one among the many events in this regard. Jesus Youth has decided to organize faith conference in ten different regions of India.
Jesus Youth of Karnataka made the best use of the opportunity by organizing the first “Faith conference” in this series and gathered youths from different parts of Karnataka. The programme was based on the theme ‘To Know, To Live and To Share the Faith’ and happened from 25th to 27th of January 2013 at Apostolic Carmel Generalate, Bengaluru. The program, which was attended by 700 participants, had Holy Mass, Adorations and faith based talks sessions was conducted at main stage and in different streams. Some sessions were conducted in two streams, i.e. youth stream in English and Kannada, and in the family stream in Malayalam. The program became a success by the tireless effort of more than 200 volunteers.
